I bought this set for my granddaughter. She is delighted with the set. It is well thought out. The carrier converts easily into the highchair easily. A small child will need help converting the carrier into the swing. The set was smaller than I thought it would be and therefore good for a younger child with a smaller doll. I recently picked up a set of these colored pencils “on a lark” to use as supplemental to my other, more expensive sets, and was pleasantly surprised – no, nearly shocked – at their quality and performance. It’s not that they are better than the best Koh-i-noor or Prismacolor pencils (because they aren’t), but the truth is that, for their price, they are very difficult to beat. But price alone is not the determinant factor here: if a colored pencil is cheap but performs poorly, then there is no point in picking it up. But what I quickly discovered with these Crayola pencils is that not only are they inexpensive (they break down to only about 20 cents per pencil, compared to anywhere from to per pencil for the more expensive brands), but they perform exceptionally well, to boot.
What do I mean by “perform exceptionally well?” Let me break it down to a short list so I can clearly present what I discovered with these pencils:
1. The pencils have a generally good laydown of color, with the caveat of the few colors that don’t work well (true also of my most expensive colored pencils, I must say). Laydown is smooth and uniform, with bright, rich color.
2. The pencils sharpen very well, with ease of cutting through the wood casing and with the color lead core supporting a very fine point when desired.
3. The lead core seems generally resistant to breakage (a problem that can occur with most pencils, even the most expensive).
4. The pencils are physically light.
5. The set comes in 50 colors, which is a great size for lots of drawing without committing to large collection sizes.
Are these pencils as good as the best Swiss, French, and German colored pencils? No. But they are close, and actually much closer than one would ever think, given that these are marketed as kid’s pencils. The price is right, the colors are great, and the performance is really good. How can you go wrong? Five stars for price, five stars for color selection, and four stars for performance.

My 4 yr old daughter received this recently and is having a great time with it. She needs a little help with stenciling out the girl and the fashions, but she colors it all on her own. She is also able to use the stencils for adding decorative things to the picture like the hearts and flowers. She is very proud of her picture when she is finished. I would recommend it.

I have been searching for something in between a baby phone and a real phone and let me tell you there’s not much out there. The animations that go with the numbers are pretty cute although I’m not sure that my son watches them all the way through. But he just got this for his 3rd birthday yesterday so he may be over zealous with the buttons right now. I believe there are only 3 songs. One is just music, one counts to ten and one is a short phone conversation. (Hello, how are you today etc.) As far as the fifteen fun activities I have no idea what they are talking about. The call button has a couple of different rings and you call Scout. He does say several different things. I’m not sure about the voicemails, I haven’t heard anything that sounds like one but it may be because I only just got it. It’s larger then I thought but still small enough to take in your bag. My son opened it right before we made an hour and 45 minute car trip and he played with it for at least the first 45 minutes which I think is great! He also played with it for about 15-20 minutes awhile after we got back home so he seems to like it pretty well. I wish it had a little game on it and that Scout waited a couple more seconds for you to respond to him.

I was looking to buy my son a typical ring stacker but saw this in my searching and got it instead. I’m so glad we did because it’s the best toy we own. I bought it when my son was 12 months old and it’s been his favorite toy for the last 3 months. I thought it would be too advanced for him but he figured it out right away. And then he started trying to put it together in different ways. He is fascinated by trying to put the pieces on in different orders or seeing if he can put them on upside down. Because there are so many more ways to put the pieces together (some that work and some that don’t) he has a great time exploring. He also uses some of the individual pieces in different ways like using the green tube as a telescope. The toy itself is very attractive looking and very sturdy. It’s solid wood but the pieces aren’t too heavy for a young child to manipulate. The pieces are stained and not painted so I don’t worry about my son chewing on any of the pieces. I can’t say enough good things about this toy. It’s simple but wonderful.
